Marina Rain

We've had dramatic weather changes the past week. This is a rain cell being pushed away leaving clear blue sky. It was strange to be being rained on, then the rain suddenly stopping.

Meadow Entry

Very busy week. This is a Enteryway of a beautiful home in Carmel. Because of the time of day the direct sun was making this shot a difficult one to pull off, but it needed the sun to show off the brilliance of this room. This is a blended shot with me lighting the lower half of the room with about 3500 watt seconds of light from multiple angles, and blending them with several ambient exposures. I think the final image came our pretty well.

Change of venue

And as fast as that, I'm down Carmel Valley road. With all the rain the past month, the hills are full of wild flowers. This is the view from the deck of the current property I'm working on. You don't see this until you come up a small rise and this becomes the view. With the hot sun baking off the moisture off the fields, a warm wind picks up all pollen making my allergies kick up to full! Here's to a fantastic shoot!

Carmel Highlands

My last day in the Carmel Highlands. It's been sunny and warm. With Highway One closed 20 miles South, traffic has been unusually light, making it a pleasure driving down the coast without a large bus driving in front of me. I do feel for the businesses effected in Big Sur though. Maybe worth taking a 4hr drive thru Central California then going across to get to the coast. Sounds like a great way to spend the day.

How I rate new stores

A new grocery store opened today, headed over to the bakery and to my surprise, these are .98 cents a piece! Small things make me happy.
